Sometimes their good but there are times they suck. I won’t change my stand anyway, that their customer service is superb! However that won’t change the fact that they suck at giving a decent internet service.Just reading the title alone, you will have an idea what’s going to be the tone of this article. Like their internet connection, my desire of recommending this phone/internet provider is also intermittent.
Bayan Telecommunications Inc., is founded in 1986 and is owned by the Lopez group of companies. They provide phone, wireless and broadband services across the country. Today they cover almost 33 percent of the country’s population that’s why they are known to be one of PLDT’s competitors in the industry. Landline telephone, DSL, wireless phone (Bayan Phone), are just a few examples of their products which Filipinos find as their alternative when they want to try other provider than PLDT which currently is the leading telecommunications company in the Philippines.
I’ve discussed this subject several times like in this article which I wrote a year ago. It means that this problem of Bayan DSL is like a normal thing that should be dealt with and you would consider a perennial issue when you are a subscriber of Bayantel. As I said, every internet provider in the Philippines has intermittent connection problem, but they should do something about it I continue stating. I also observe that each of them treats their customer’s concerns differently, but the solutions and the results seem to have some similarity. They reset the modem, they change it sometimes, they would visit you house and check everything that they suspect as to be the cause of the problem you’re having, the customer service representative you’re talking to would suggest a system clean up on your end; meaning you check if you store some computer virus and if you do you remove it as well as those unnecessary garbage like internet cookies temp files etc., or to the point that you’d be told to reformat your hard drive completely, heh!
I’m not trying to be a smartass, I’m just telling you to provide us the services you promise and advertise Bayantel! Like other issues for example the slow internet speed, high latency and some other things which your customers complain everyday, it’s time for you to act on these before you lose your subscribers.
